There are multiple reason for a student or person to get depressed. We try to find some reason behind it. Depression is a word that is used for a mentally sick person. Why They get depressed? For example a student get depressed when he or she fail in exam or any other work which is done by him and unsuccessful in it after that banter by his family and friends. He can't tolerate this kind of shaming, at the end he goes into the depression. No one feel his pain and wants to live apart from his society.
